Gamdom Hot Wallet Hack May Top $4.2 Million

Gamdom hot wallet hack on a crypto platform, with losses spread across Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, and TRON in a crypto platform hack

Losses Exceed the Company’s Own Estimate

Crypto platform Gamdom may have lost more than $4.2 million in a hot wallet hack. Hot wallets are internet-connected vaults that allow quick payouts.

That figure exceeds the company’s own estimate of slightly over $3 million. No one has explained the gap yet. Meanwhile, the investigation found an unauthorized connection to one of the platform’s servers.

How the Breach Came to Light

The incident first looked like a technical fault. A server disk failed. On closer inspection, however, investigators found that someone had connected to an automation server without permission.

Gamdom then took the platform offline and stopped the outflow of funds from its wallets. It began running checks before resuming operations.

The Loss, Chain by Chain

Blockchain analyst vxdb put the total at $4.208 million. The losses break down as follows:

  • EVM networks: about $2.2 million across five networks, including Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
  • Bitcoin: about $668,000.
  • Solana: about $965,000.
  • TRON: about $375,000.

The authors of the report could not independently confirm every transaction.

An Unexplained Gap

The reason for the difference between the two estimates remains unknown. Gamdom has not published a detailed report. Thus, no one can say whether the gap stems from asset valuation, transaction counting, or the recovery of some funds.

A Pattern Across Crypto Platforms

Other platforms face similar incidents. In September 2026, Duelbits suffered an alleged private key compromise, with losses estimated at $5.9 million to $7 million.

Hot wallets process withdrawals quickly. Yet their constant link to platform systems adds risk if attackers seize a server or its credentials.

What the Data Shows

TRM Labs reports 207 crypto attacks in the first half of 2026, with combined losses of $972 million. Roughly 76 percent of stolen funds came from compromised infrastructure and operational systems.

What Comes Next for Gamdom

Platforms should harden their servers and wallet access, and they should audit their fund management systems. Gamdom now faces two tasks. It must resolve its losses, and it must prove that its new safeguards will prevent a repeat.
