Harrisburg Airport PA System Hacked to Broadcast “Free Palestine” and Anti-Trump Political Message
The internal announcement system at Harrisburg International Airport in Pennsylvania was temporarily disabled after unidentified individuals gained unauthorized access on the evening of October 14, broadcasting a political message calling for “Freedom for Palestine.” Airport officials confirmed that the transmission over the public address system was immediately terminated once the incident began.
According to eyewitness accounts and available recordings, a synthesized voice over the loudspeakers also read a list of names or aliases of those claiming responsibility for the intrusion. The broadcast concluded with insults directed at Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. Notably, the message contained no threats or statements related to the safety of the airport, airlines, or passengers.
Following the incident, a Delta Air Lines flight preparing for departure was temporarily delayed for precautionary inspection. Security personnel thoroughly searched the aircraft, but no irregularities or suspicious items were found. The plane was subsequently cleared and departed according to schedule.
At present, airport operations have been fully restored, and all flights are proceeding without disruption. The airport—Pennsylvania’s third-busiest aviation hub, handling regular passenger traffic—continues to function in normal mode. The airport’s security service has launched an investigation into the breach.
