ASUS releases beta BIOS for X670/B650 motherboards: Based on AGESA 1.1.0.1, supports Ryzen 8000G

Last month, ASUS released a beta version BIOS based on AGESA 1.1.0.0 for its X670 series motherboards, primarily in preparation for the upcoming Ryzen 8000G series, including products with “Phoenix” and “Phoenix2” chips. Now, ASUS has introduced a new beta BIOS for both its X670 and B650 series motherboards, optimizing support for new processors and further enhancing system performance.

This beta BIOS update includes new versions of the SMU for “Phoenix” and “Phoenix2” chips, version 76.75.0. The ASUS motherboards involved span across the ROG, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, and ProArt product lines. Currently, there are no updates for the Prime series. The updates include:

It is important to note that these are beta versions. Users of the Ryzen 7000 series processors, code-named “Raphael,” will not benefit from these updates. Users are advised not to rush into updating the firmware unless absolutely necessary. If the existing version is encountering significant issues, it’s preferable to wait for the official release of a stable version before proceeding with the update.
