Enermax launches REVOLUTION D.F. 2 & REVOLUTION D.F. X series of power supplies

Enermax has announced that a higher-than-normal RMA rate has been identified in its REVOLUTION D.F. 2 and REVOLUTION D.F. X series power supplies. An exhaustive investigation revealed that the issue seems to be related to fan bearing malfunctions, with the noise originating from bearing oil leaks. Over time, users may encounter such issues with these power supplies.

While not all Enermax devices are affected by this issue, as a precautionary measure and in line with Enermax’s commitment to product quality, the company is initiating a voluntary replacement program for owners of REVOLUTION D.F. 2 and REVOLUTION D.F. X series power supplies purchased in 2023. Enermax assures that the replacement units will be equipped with industrial-grade dual ball bearings, renowned for their durability and longevity.

Enermax plans to provide prepaid return shipping labels for the power supplies to be replaced and will cover the shipping costs for the replacement units. The aim is to minimize downtime for users, and the original warranty of the power supplies will remain unaffected. Affected users are advised to contact their local Enermax office to initiate the replacement process.

Both the REVOLUTION D.F. 2 and REVOLUTION D.F. X series power supplies, launched by Enermax this year, feature the company’s signature self-cleaning solution, the “Dust Free Rotation (DFR) Technology,” along with a semi-fanless mechanism. Notably, the REVOLUTION D.F. X series supports ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 specifications and is equipped with a native 12VHPWR connector capable of delivering 600W of power output.
