Over 35 Million Galaxies Rising: Samsung’s Bold Sales Goal for 2024

This year, Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series has garnered commendable reviews. Despite bearing a resemblance to its predecessor in design, it introduced substantial internal upgrades, including the incorporation of Qualcomm’s custom second-generation Snapdragon 8 platform, known for its efficient performance. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, in particular, has consistently ranked among the top-selling smartphones globally for several quarters, with the total sales of the entire Galaxy S23 series surpassing 25 million units.

According to a report by The Elec, Samsung has set a sales target for the Galaxy S24 series, aiming to ship over 35.2 million units by the end of next year. The breakdown is as follows: 13.5 million units of the Galaxy S24, 5.8 million units of the Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to surpass both models with 15.9 million units.

The upcoming Galaxy S24 series will undoubtedly feature Qualcomm’s custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. In certain regions, Samsung also plans to equip the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with its own Exynos 2400 platform. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will boast a titanium metal frame and come equipped with a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens. It is also expected to include a 5000mAh battery and support 45W fast charging.

Earlier reports indicated that Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy S24 series at an event in San Jose, California, on January 17, 2024. Customers in Seoul, Korea, will be able to pre-order the Galaxy S24 series starting January 19, with the first batch of devices scheduled for delivery between January 26 and January 30.
