Beats Solo 4 Leaked: Upgraded Sound, Ultra-Comfy Design

In today’s digital electronics market, a product not being updated for two years is considered a lengthy period. However, the Beats Solo 3 wireless headphones have not seen an upgrade for eight years since their launch in 2016, until recent reports indicated the impending release of the next generation, Beats Solo 4, which promises significant enhancements (in terms of headphone products).

9to5Mac has disclosed several novel upgrades for the Beats Solo 4, including the adoption of custom 40mm drivers that offer clearer sound and a broader range. Additionally, the ear cushions will be made from UltraPlush material for enhanced comfort, though changes to the exterior design are minimal, primarily incorporating new aesthetic features from the Beats Studio Pro.

Regarding connectivity, the Beats Solo 4 is expected to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack, while the USB-C port will not only serve for power supply but also enable lossless music transmission. Bluetooth connectivity will be upgraded to support the 5.3 specification, facilitating one-touch connection not only with Apple devices but also with Android. Furthermore, the implementation of beamforming microphones with a new algorithm is set to improve sound pickup quality among other enhancements.

In terms of battery life, the Beats Solo 4 will offer up to 50 hours of playback and support fast charging, allowing for 5 hours of listening time after just 10 minutes of charging. With the Beats Solo 4 already integrated into the beta version of Apple’s iOS 17 for pairing recognition, those considering purchasing the Beats Solo 3 headphones might want to wait a little longer, especially considering it has been eight years.
