OpenAI on the Rise: Revenue Races Towards $1.6 Billion

Following reports in mid-October of achieving an annual revenue of 1.3 billion USD, OpenAI has recently been rumored to potentially surpass 1.6 billion USD in annual revenue.

Despite the tension in customer relationships and some revenue impact caused by the sudden dismissal of CEO Sam Altman in November, his subsequent reinstatement has steered OpenAI back on course.

While declaring that future developments will primarily focus on the application of the extensive natural language model GPT-4, OpenAI continues to vigorously invest in the commercialization of artificial intelligence technology. This includes promoting AI technological resources to numerous enterprises and preparing to launch a software marketplace corresponding to GPT applications in 2024. OpenAI has also assisted Microsoft in introducing the Copilot service, integrated with the GPT-4 model, to the iOS platform, following its recent deployment on Android, thereby attracting a broader user base.

In addition to the projection of exceeding 1.6 billion USD in revenue this year, OpenAI is also preparing to pursue a new round of investment opportunities. This move aims to propel the development of AI technology with ample funding, simultaneously anticipating a market valuation exceeding 1 trillion USD.
