Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo was released today, supporting multiple platforms

The remake of “Resident Evil 4” built with the RE Engine will be released on the 24th of this month. While Capcom has released enough promotional videos and developer interviews, they have also released a demo of the game called “Chainsaw Demo” today. The demo is available for download today for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam PC players.

From previous games using the RE Engine, such as the new “Resident Evil” series, “Monster Hunter Rise”, and “Devil May Cry 5”, Capcom’s optimization and performance with this engine are indeed impressive. Although we are still downloading the demo, it is expected that the remake of “Resident Evil 4” will maintain the same level of quality.

On the Steam store page, the minimum requirements for the “Resident Evil 4” remake are AMD Ryzen 3 1200/Intel Core i5-7500, 8GB of RAM, AMD RX 560/NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti (4GB VRAM version); the recommended requirements are AMD Ryzen 5 3600/Intel Core i7-8700, 16GB of RAM, AMD RX 5700/NVIDIA GTX 1070. The only mandatory requirement is the operating system, which must be Windows 10/11 64-bit. Overall, the requirements are not very demanding.

Furthermore, Capcom has indicated that the game supports ray tracing, although the minimum graphics card required is the AMD RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA RTX 2070.

In addition, after testing, the PC version of the “Resident Evil 4” remake demo will download a 9.8GB file and ultimately occupy 10.3GB of hard disk space. Obviously, for players who have not yet decided which platform to purchase the game on, a demo like this is quite significant.
