PowerColor released Radeon RX 7800/7700 XT new product preview

AMD is poised to unveil the Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT. PowerColor, a steadfast collaborator with AMD over the past decade, is anticipated to promptly introduce graphic cards predicated on the RDNA 3 architecture. This debut is likely to mark the maiden appearance of the Navi 32 GPU, which, akin to the Navi 31, adopts an MCM design, integrating a 5nm GCD with four 6nm MCDs.

Recently, PowerColor heralded the imminent release of its Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT graphic cards. These revelations suggest that in addition to the previously leaked Red Devil series, the company will also roll out products from the Hellhound and Fighter lines. These latter series are poised at a slightly modest tier and will witness distinct design alterations.

The novel cards are outfitted with dual 8Pin external power connectors. The showcased Hellhound iteration boasts a sable facade; however, drawing from historical precedents, an alabaster version might well be in the offing. The Fighter series typically occupies the lowermost tier, with its design exuding an essence of simplicity, and is expected to be retailed at the manufacturer’s suggested price.

Rumors stipulate that the Radeon RX 7800 XT’s Navi 32 might be fully operational, harnessing all its computational units. It’s projected to possess 60 CUs, translating to 3,840 stream processors, an Infinity Cache of 64MB, and 16GB of GDDR6 memory with a 256-bit memory bandwidth and a memory speed of 19.5 Gbps. The card’s power consumption is estimated at around 260W. In contrast, the Radeon RX 7700 XT’s Navi 32 appears to be slightly curtailed, reducing the CU count to 54, equating to 3,456 stream processors. The Infinity Cache is correspondingly scaled down to 48MB, memory reduced to 12GB, memory bandwidth to 192-bit, and the memory speed diminished to 18 Gbps, rendering the card’s power consumption somewhat more conservative. As with prior Radeon RX 7000 series products, these will be equipped with DP 2.1 interfaces.
