Geekom launches Mini IT13, The first 4*4 mini PC equipped with Core i9-13900H

While Intel no longer manufactures mini PCs under the NUC brand, their pioneering design of a 4×4 inch form factor has been adopted by other entities. Presently, two contenders vie for the accolade of being the first to integrate the 13th generation Core i9 processor into a 4-inch mini PC: SimplyNUC’s Onyx, slated for an August 29th debut, stands in contrast to Geekom’s announcement of releasing the Mini IT13 on August 23rd.

The Mini IT13 from Geekom is a mini PC spanning a footprint of 4×4 inches, with dimensions precisely 117x112x49.2mm. Potential buyers can choose from three processors: the Core i5-13500H, Core i7-13700H, or the Core i9-13900H. The system accommodates up to a whopping 64GB of DDR4-3200 SODIMM. Its storage interfaces are threefold, encompassing an M.2 2242 slot limited to SATA 6Gbps, an M.2 2280 slot supporting PCI-E 4.0 x4, and a SATA 6Gbps slot that can house a 2.5-inch SSD or HDD.

In terms of connectivity, the Mini IT13 offers two USB4 ports, three USB 10Gbps ports, a singular USB 2.0, dual HDMI 2.0 outputs, a 2.5GbE network port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an SD card reader. For wireless capabilities, it integrates WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Impressively, this machine can support up to four screen outputs, with both HDMI ports capable of outputting 4K@60Hz, while the two USB4 ports can peak at 8K@30Hz.

The pinnacle configuration, equipped with the Core i9-13900H, boasts 6 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores, with a turbo frequency reaching 5.4GHz. Preliminary renderings indicate a singular heat pipe and fan configuration. There’s lingering intrigue about whether the Geekom Mini IT13 can sustain the 115W PL2 power, even though its cooling mechanism should effortlessly manage 45W.

As for the accessories accompanying the Geekom Mini IT13, they include a VESA mount plate. The official pricing structure is delineated as follows:

  • Core i9-13900H + 32GB RAM + 2TB SSD is priced at $789.
  • Core i7-13700H + 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD stands at $689.
  • Core i5-13500H + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD is available for $499.
