Noctua Launches NA-VC1 Voltage Converter

Austrian cooling solution manufacturer, Noctua, has unveiled its NA-VC1 24V DC to 12V DC Voltage Converter, designed to facilitate the operation of 12V fans within a 24V environment, thereby making it an ideal solution for applications in 3D printing, industry, or automotive domains. With a maximum operating temperature reaching 60℃, the converter comes equipped with protection against short-circuiting, reverse polarity, overcurrent, and overheating. Owing to its neat, compact, and lightweight design, the NA-VC1 Voltage Converter can be seamlessly integrated into virtually any setting.

CEO of Noctua, Roland Mossig, elucidated, “For an extended period, many of our clients have been utilising our 12V fans within 24V environments, albeit often coupled with cheap, substandard voltage converters. These inexpensive converters pose a significant safety hazard, and to counter this, we have created the NA-VC1: a compact, safe, and reliable solution for operating 12V fans within a 24V setting.”

The overall dimensions of the NA-VC1 Voltage Converter stand at 31 x 16 x 8.5 mm, with a mere weight of 6 grams, thereby permitting a simple interconnection between the fan cable and the power source, with no additional fixings needed in most application settings. It supports a total output power of 9W, suitable for operating a single high-power fan or multiple low-power fans, which can be connected to the device via optional splitters (NA-SYC1 or NA-SYC2) or fan hubs (like the NA-FH1).

According to Noctua, the NA-VC1 Voltage Converter has undergone rigorous product safety and EMC tests holds CE, UKCA and UL certifications, and is compliant with all applicable standards (EN 62368-1, EN 55035 and EN 55032), certifying it as a secure and high-quality device.

The NA-VC1 Voltage Converter is priced at $24.90.
