MSI began to release a new BIOS for the Z690 motherboard version

Recently, MSI began to release a new version of BIOS for its Z690 motherboard to enhance its performance and further optimize compatibility. There are currently 17 MSI Z690 motherboards involved, including DDR5 and DDR4 versions. The relevant information has appeared on the corresponding support page of the product.

MSI said that the new version of BIOS adds some features, improved performance, and related support to the motherboard, and is listed in the update log, including
  • Support Intel Tile technology.
  • Update Intel CPU micro-code and ME.
  • Improved performance of BIOS features.
  • The new BIOS also optimized the RAM compatibility.
The new CPU microcode and ME will improve the performance of Intel’s 12th-generation Core series desktop processors. There may be some specific performance enhancements, as well as the addition or improvement of overclocking and other adjustment functions. The optimization of memory compatibility is also very important, which can improve memory support, especially DDR5 memory models. Over the past period of time, some users have reported that some DDR5 memory has problems with the XMP configuration file of the Z690 motherboard. Intel Tile technology is a feature belonging to the Intel 600 series chipset, which is only applicable to models with Wi-Fi and is more useful than notebook computers.
