Microsoft offers new feature for businesses, IT admins can send messages directly to Windows 11 user

At its Future of Hybrid Work event, Microsoft announced new capabilities for enterprise IT administrators, allowing them to send messages directly to end-users. Usually, administrators can check device information through centralized management tools, and it may be more convenient to use communication tools to contact the employees who own the devices. The function provided by Microsoft this time is to allow administrators to send custom messages, which can be sent to specified devices or to all devices. There are even multiple types of message displays, for example, messages can be displayed in notifications, displayed on the desktop, or even displayed on the lock screen.

With the shift to hybrid workplaces, Microsoft is seeing a need for businesses to better connect with their employees in ways that fit individual circumstances, Microsoft said. Provides the function of sending messages so that administrators can directly send notifications in batches, such as releasing company-related notifications or messages about safety matters and other training. In terms of content, it can be both text messages and links. For example, the text content and the company website can be combined and sent for employees to click and view. To use this feature administrators need to configure using Endpoint Manager and then specify employees, for example, a message can be popped up only to employees in a certain department.
