AMD will launch RX 6950XT, RX 6750XT and RX 6650XT on May 10

AMD will soon launch the Radeon RX 6×50 XT series graphics cards on the desktop platform, which is a high-frequency version of the original Radeon RX 6000 series, which will be equipped with 18 Gbps video memory, but the GPU is still manufactured using the 7nm process. AMD is rumored to launch three Radeon RX 6×50 XT series graphics cards, these RDNA 2 Refresh include Radeon RX 6950XT, RX 6750XT, RX 6650XT, corresponding to Navi 21, Navi 22, and Navi 23 respectively.

According to VideoCardz, the Radeon RX 6950XT/RX 6750XT/RX 6650XT will be released on May 10, not April 20 or 21 as previously circulated. It’s unclear why AMD delayed the release date. According to the new graphics card rendering, the radiators of the Radeon RX 6950 XT/RX 6750 XT/RX 6650 XT have a new color scheme, a black appearance, which is similar to the previously launched Radeon RX 6800 XT Midnight Black versions.

It is worth noting that in the past, Radeon RX 6700 XT/RX 6600 XT were dual-fan and single-fan radiators, respectively. However, this time, the Radeon RX 6750 XT/RX 6650 XT have been replaced with three-fan and dual-fan configurations respectively, which means that power consumption and heat generation may be improved, and performance can be expected to be stronger. It is understood that these two public version products will be sold through AMD’s official store.

In addition to the higher speed GDDR6 memory, it is not yet confirmed whether the clock of the GPU will increase, and there may be more information in the next month or so. In addition, the original OEM-oriented Radeon RX 6400 will also be launched to the DIY market on the same day, which is likely to be AMD’s lowest-end RDNA 2 architecture discrete graphics card in the consumer market.
