Leak: iPad Air 4 equipped with Type-C and Touch ID
More and more news reports point out that the iPad Air 4 will adopt a new full-screen design, which is a considerable upgrade compared to the existing iPad Air series.
Today, Twitter user @Duanrui1205 show the English version of the iPad Air 4 manual. The content of the manual is consistent with many of the information we have reported before.

The manual shows that the iPad Air 4 uses the same full-screen design as the iPad Pro 2018. However, in order to reduce the cost and price of the product, Apple did not choose to equip the iPad Air 4 with Face ID but instead used Touch ID. The location is different from the current iPad Air series products, it is a side fingerprint recognition, which also causes the power button to become longer.
At the same time, we can also see that the manual indicates that the iPad Air 4 is equipped with USB-C (Type-C), as well as a Smart Connector, and perhaps a Magic Keyboard accessory designed for it.
We believe that since Apple has chosen not to equip it with Face ID in order to save costs, the iPad Air 4 will most likely not be equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate display. It should be a 60Hz refresh rate display.
However, according to previous reports, the iPad Air 4 will be equipped with the same A14 Bionic chip and stereo speakers of the iPhone 12 series, so the experience in audio-visual games will not be lost.
