Intel officially launches Arc A580 graphics card

Last September, Intel unveiled three standalone desktop graphics cards—Arc A770, A750, and A580—at Innovation 2022. Coupled with the previously released Arc A380, these additions completed the Arc A series of graphics cards. The subsequent October saw the market release of the Arc A770 and A750, while the Arc A580 remained in its final refinement stage.

Last evening, Intel announced the official launch of the Arc A580 graphics card, marking its global debut. Deeply collaborative brands with Intel—ASRock, Blue Lance, and Sparkle—have all introduced their respective products. International e-commerce platforms have listed the ASRock Challenger Arc A580 8GB graphics card for $179.99. However, the official suggested retail price and domestic sales price remain undisclosed.

The Intel Arc A580 graphics card features a trimmed-down ACM-G10 chip, crafted using TSMC’s 6nm process. It boasts 24 Xe cores, 384 Execution Units (EUs), and 3,072 stream processors. The GPU’s default frequency is 1700MHz (which can be boosted to 2000MHz in aftermarket editions), with a maximum turbo frequency reaching 2400MHz. The card is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 video memory on a 256-bit wide bus, offering a bandwidth of 512GB/s. It has a Total Board Power (TBP) of 185W and provides three DisplayPort 2.0 and one HDMI 2.1 (some models offer HDMI 2.0b) interfaces, supporting display outputs up to 8K@60Hz. According to previous reports from Wccftech, its overall performance aligns with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 and AMD’s Radeon RX 7600, though its price parallels the Radeon RX 6600 and GeForce RTX 3050 currently available in the market.

Further enhancing its prowess, the Intel Arc A580 incorporates advanced technologies, such as AI-enhanced Intel® Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. These not only enhance gaming performance but also render lifelike visual effects. In many mainstream 1080P games, the card can achieve up to a 63% frame rate boost. In ray-tracing supported “Cyberpunk 2077,” the card natively delivers 58 FPS, which can be elevated to 85 FPS when XeSS performance mode is activated. Additionally, the Arc A580 extends comprehensive media support, including a dual hardware-accelerated AV1 encoding/decoding engine, presenting gamers and creators with a fresh mid-range graphics card option.
