Intel 14th Gen Core i9-14900K, i7-14700K and i5-14600K may be released on October 17

Intel is poised to unveil its 14th generation Core processor, termed the Raptor Lake Refresh, during the “Intel Innovation” summit slated for the 19th and 20th of this month in San Jose, California. A spate of motherboard manufacturers have recently rolled out updated BIOS versions for their Intel 600/700 series motherboards to cater to the 14th generation Core processors. Simultaneously, they have been meticulously launching specially crafted Z790 motherboards, such as Gigabyte’s Z790 X series and MSI’s Z790 MAX series, among others.

According to information disseminated by VideoCardz, the embargo lift times for Intel’s 14th generation Core are detailed as follows:

  • Ad Embargo: October 16, 2023, 6:00 AM PST
  • Sales + Reviews Embargo: October 17, 2023, 6:00 AM PST

In tandem with these unveilings, Intel will debut its K/KF suffix products that support CPU overclocking, encompassing the i9-14900K/KF, i7-14700K/KF, and i5-14600K/KF. When juxtaposed against their 13th-generation counterparts, the i7-14700K/KF emerges as the most radically transformed product. The core count escalates from the Core i7-13700K’s 8P+8E to 8P+12E, and the L3 cache swells from 30MB to 33MB. The Core i9-14900K/KF and i5-14600K/KF predominantly witness marginal frequency enhancements in their big.little architecture, rendering the alterations relatively subtle. It’s noteworthy that the subsequent iterations of the 14th generation Core lineup are expected to be unveiled later, likely in the early part of the forthcoming year.
