EVGA launches SuperNOVA 1000W/850W Gold FTW power supply

EVGA announces the launch of its SuperNOVA 1000W/850W Gold FTW power supply, which fully complies with ATX12V V3.0 and PCIe 5.0 standards. It not only supports up to 235% of instantaneous total power but also responds more swiftly to peak power, ensuring users’ confidence in usage.

The SuperNOVA 1000W/850W Gold FTW power supply is equipped with a half-bridge LLC resonant converter and DC-DC structure modules, embodying stringent voltage regulation, minimal ripple, and noise. It can momentarily handle 235% of the instantaneous total power and 300% of the graphics card instantaneous power, thus guaranteeing that the system and the graphics card maintain safe and abundant power at all times. The LLC/PFC MOSFET utilizes an optimized transistor package, offering double the heat transfer area and quadruple the power dissipation capability, hence excellent temperature control, thereby ensuring superior reliability and durability. The new product has earned the 80 PLUS Gold certification, exhibiting a conversion efficiency of 90% (115VAC) /92% (220VAC~240VAC) or higher under typical loads. EVGA has also integrated an optimized transformer, achieving efficiency levels close to platinum.

Mirroring many products in the same category, the SuperNOVA 1000W/850W Gold FTW power supply incorporates various circuit protection functions, including overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), undervoltage protection (UVP), overpower protection (OPP) and overtemperature protection (OTP), thereby ensuring safe hardware operation. It is equipped with a native 12VHPWR interface that can provide a power output of 600W. Coupled with a fully modular design, this can reduce the clutter of cables in the chassis and improve airflow.
