Asus unveils new Intel Z790 motherboards and new generation of Ryuo III liquid coolers
ASUS announced the launch of three Z790 motherboards, namely ROG Maximus Z790 Apex, TUF Gaming Z790-PLUS WiFi, and ProArt Z790-Creator WiFi, to complement the existing product line. These motherboards are equipped with PCIe 5.0 slots and PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots to support Intel’s latest 13th Gen Core processors.
ROG Maximus Z790 Apex uses a 24-phase power supply and is equipped with only two memory slots, which can support DDR5 memory at a rate of 8000 MT/s. In addition to installing a PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD through the included PCIe 5.0 M.2 expansion card, the motherboard has two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, both with cooling vests. In addition, this motherboard provides an Intel 2.5Gbps Ethernet port and supports Wi-Fi 6E, the rear I/O is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, and the front port supports 60W PD fast charging.
TUF Gaming Z790-PLUS WiFi uses a 16+1 phase power supply, is equipped with four M.2 slots, also supports a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port and Wi-Fi 6E, and the rear I/O is also equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port.
ProArt Z790-Creator WiFi has two PCIe 5.0 full-length slots that can support 8+8 configuration, equipped with four M.2 slots. The rear I/O provides two Thunderbolt 4 ports, in addition to the 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, there is also a 10Gbps Ethernet port supported by the Marvell AQtion chip.
In addition, ASUS also released a new generation of Ryuo III series integrated water cooling radiators, which are divided into ROG Ryuo III 360 ARGB and ROG Ryuo III 240 ARGB, both of which are available in black and white versions.
Asus said that as the first all-in-one water-cooling radiator using the 8th-generation Asetek solution, the two products have excellent cooling capabilities and are ideal partners for Intel and AMD’s next-generation platforms. The water pump adopts a three-phase motor, which has a higher flow rate than previous products and runs more quietly. The square base of the water block is larger than the previous generation, which better fits the 13th generation Core processor. At the same time, there is a matrix LED array screen on the water block to display unique style parameters and custom animations.
