ROG Maximus Z790 Apex uses a 24-phase power supply and is equipped with only two memory slots, which can support DDR5 memory at a rate of 8000 MT/s. In addition to installing a PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD through the included PCIe 5.0 M.2 expansion card, the motherboard has two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, both with cooling vests. In addition, this motherboard provides an Intel 2.5Gbps Ethernet port and supports Wi-Fi 6E, the rear I/O is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, and the front port supports 60W PD fast charging.
TUF Gaming Z790-PLUS WiFi uses a 16+1 phase power supply, is equipped with four M.2 slots, also supports a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port and Wi-Fi 6E, and the rear I/O is also equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port.

Asus said that as the first all-in-one water-cooling radiator using the 8th-generation Asetek solution, the two products have excellent cooling capabilities and are ideal partners for Intel and AMD’s next-generation platforms. The water pump adopts a three-phase motor, which has a higher flow rate than previous products and runs more quietly. The square base of the water block is larger than the previous generation, which better fits the 13th generation Core processor. At the same time, there is a matrix LED array screen on the water block to display unique style parameters and custom animations.
