Apple is poised to unveil its latest generation of iPad products this week

Apple’s iPad mini 6, introduced in 2021, showcased a revamped exterior, flaunting slimmer bezels and a more expansive display, winning the acclaim of a majority of users. However, not long after its debut, the device was plagued with the “jelly scrolling” issue, where inconsistent refresh rates would manifest during horizontal swipes, leaving users under the impression of a panel malfunction.

According to Supercharged, Apple is poised to unveil its latest generation of iPad products this week, encompassing the iPad mini, iPad Air, and the entry-level numeric iPad series. Insiders speculate an official announcement could surface as early as October 17th, U.S. time. Notably, the iPad Air 6 is anticipated to be powered by Apple’s in-house M2 processor, while the iPad mini 7 is expected to harness the prowess of its predecessor’s A16 Bionic chip. Accompanied by advanced chipsets and camera systems, potential enhancements might also encompass superior 5G connectivity and a suite of novel features. Furthermore, Apple is set to overhaul the internal architecture of the iPad mini 7, effectively rectifying the “jelly screen” conundrum.

Previously, Apple’s official stance was that the “jelly scrolling” phenomenon was an inherent trait during the operation of LCD screens, attributable to the sequential line-by-line refresh, inducing a minute lag between the screen’s topmost and bottommost rows.
