AMD prepares to launch Radeon RX 6300 graphics card

AMD released the Radeon RX 6500 XT/RX 6400 at CES 2022. Among them, Radeon RX 6400 is equipped with Navi 24 core, manufactured with 6nm process, equipped with 16MB infinite cache, has 12 CUs, that is, the number of stream processors is 768, equipped with 4GB of GDDR6 video memory, and the video memory bit width is 64 bits. According to AMD at the time, as the lowest positioned product in the RDNA 2 architecture, the Radeon RX 6400 was limited to the OEM market.

Recently, some netizens found that AMD may launch a third desktop graphics card based on the Navi 24 core, which is positioned lower than the Radeon RX 6400, and the model is Radeon RX 6300. AMD has provided support in the latest version 3.10 of the GPU Performance API, and the introduction acknowledges the existence of the Radeon RX 6300. It is reported that the Radeon RX 6300 has only 2GB of GDDR6 memory, which is likely to be an entry-level graphics card for OEMs. Performance may not be as good as some integrated graphics cards due to further cuts in GPU specs.

It is understood that the Radeon RX 6400 should no longer be limited to the OEM market. Some manufacturers have already submitted new documents to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) (such as ASRock’s RX6400 CLI 4G).
