Ming-Chi Kuo: Apple is testing a 9-inch foldable device, Foldable iPhone may not debut until 2025

The well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that Apple is currently testing a 9-inch foldable screen device. At the same time, he also pointed out that the long-rumored folding screen iPhone is unlikely to be launched before 2025.

As the 9-inch foldable screen device disclosed by Ming-Chi Kuo, it is made of OLED material, and its PPI is between Apple’s iPhone and iPad. It is understood that this foldable screen device will be critical and will be used by Apple to evaluate and verify the key technologies of its own foldable-screen device, so it may not have the specifications and characteristics of the final retail product.

Ming-Chi Kuo also revealed Apple’s plans for foldable screen products. Apple’s foldable screen products are expected to produce medium-sized devices first, then large-screen devices, and finally, when the technology is mature, will be applied to their main force, the iPhone, which is the foldable iPhone.

In addition, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted last year that Apple would launch a foldable iPhone product as soon as 2024. Now he has revised the wording and changed the year from 2024 to 2025.
