Sabrent releases Rocket 4 Plus G-series SSD

Sabrent announced the launch of the Rocket 4 Plus G-series SSDs, including 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, with a matching heatsink. Sabrent said that the SSD will be optimized for Microsoft’s DirectStorage technology to bring players the best gaming experience.

Rocket 4 Plus G series SSD provides a data transfer speed of over 7GB/s, equipped with 3D TLC NAND flash memory, using Sabrent’s state-of-the-art O2 firmware, optimized for gaming, with fast responsiveness and up to 4TB of storage, its performance won’t disappoint.

DirectStorage allows NVMe SSD to bypass the CPU and memory and transfer data directly to the video memory, which can greatly reduce the game loading time and solve the problem of some material loading errors. In theory, games using this technology can achieve seamless scene integration. Windows 11 has the latest storage optimization technology built in, plus DirectStorage technology to unlock the full potential of your console.

Microsoft announced in September 2020 that DirectStorage would be coming to Windows, then gathered feedback during the developer preview and made the DirectStorage API available to partners for use in games. In March of this year, Microsoft announced that Windows games had supported DirectStorage. The public SDK release will allow developers to more fully utilize the performance of the latest storage devices and improve the loading speed of PC games.

Rocket 4 Plus G-series SSDs are currently available for pre-order, with 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacities priced at $169.99, $299.99 and $699.99, the matching cooler is $29.99.
