Raja Koduri confirms Arc A770 graphics card is ready for release

Intel had previously said when the Arc discrete graphics card was released that the desktop-class A7 series graphics cards would be launched later this summer. But now it’s September, and if this month ends, the summer will be over, and there is not much time left for Intel. Although the Arc A770 graphics card has actually been shown in public many times before, Intel has not officially released this graphics card.

Intel executive vice president, senior vice president, and general manager of accelerated computing systems and graphics group Raja Koduri said on his Twitter account recently that their team is working hard to launch the Arc series graphics cards, with a photo of the Arc A770 graphics card in Intel Labs awaiting its official release.

Of course, Intel is now facing a more severe market situation, because the mining boom has faded and the market is flooded with a large number of second-hand graphics cards. These cheap NVIDIA RTX 30 and AMD RX 6000 will crowd out just Intel’s graphics card market. The bigger problem, of course, is that both AMD and NVIDIA are about to launch their next-generation graphics cards.

Of course, neither of these two will launch mid-range graphics cards when the new series is just released. If there are no surprises, consumers will have to wait until next year to buy them at the earliest, which means that Intel still has a window period, and Intel has been hinting that they will use cheaper prices than competitors to lure consumers.

Intel Innovation will be held in San Jose, California on September 27th and 28th, if they are to release Arc series desktop graphics cards in September, it is estimated that this time will be the time. At the same time, the 13th-generation Core processor Raptor Lake may also appear at this event.
