New iPad Pro will feature “the best OLED display on the market”

Apple is set to host a special event named “Let Loose” on May 7, 2024, where it will unveil an all-new iPad product. Recent reports suggest that the OLED version of the iPad Pro may be equipped with the M4 chip, which features a “powerful neural network engine,” offering enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and positioning the device as Apple’s first AI-driven product.

According to Wccftech, the new iPad Pro will feature “the best OLED display on the market,” incorporating LTPO technology and 120Hz ProMotion technology to provide a variable refresh rate for increased efficiency and energy savings. The OLED panel uses a tandem stack structure and glass-thinning technology, making it thinner and lighter compared to the existing mini LED screens. It not only boasts low power consumption but also offers higher brightness, reduced screen aging issues, and longer battery life. Additionally, the display will deliver improved quality with deeper blacks and greater color accuracy.

There are indications that Apple will launch the new iPad Pro, a new iPad Air, and brand-new versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, potentially marking one of the largest single-day updates to Apple’s tablet lineup. The OLED version of the iPad Pro will be the highlight of the event, available in both 11-inch and 12.9-inch models. It is rumored that the 12.9-inch OLED panels will be exclusively produced by LG, while the 11-inch panels will be supplied by both LG and Samsung.
