New 13.3-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air will be released between late spring and summer

Mark Gurman recently stated in his “Power On” column that Apple is expected to launch a new 13.3-inch MacBook Air and a new design with a 15-inch screen between late spring and summer this year. Additionally, a new 24-inch iMac model is also expected to be released in the second half of the year.

The upcoming new 13.3-inch MacBook Air is expected to be the first to use the M3 processor. However, to create market differentiation, Apple may only offer the M3 processor specification in the new 13.3-inch model, while the new 15.5-inch model may only offer the M2 or M2 Pro processor specifications.

The current 13.3-inch MacBook Air with the M2 processor is expected to remain on sale as an entry-level model.

On the other hand, Apple may also introduce a new Mac Pro model with the M2 Ultra processor this summer, but the exterior design is expected to be similar to the existing Mac Pro model and not be downsized to accommodate Apple Silicon processors. However, modular design may be added.

As for the new iMac, it is expected to be released in the second half of this year and will maintain the 24-inch screen design. It is also expected to use the M3 processor, but it is currently unclear whether a Pro-level model will be released. In addition, the new MacBook series with a new design is expected to debut in 2025, which may include a touchscreen function and begin to introduce OLED display designs.
