MSI Releases MPG A1000G Power Supply

MSI is a major board manufacturer in the PC industry. Whether it’s a motherboard or a graphics card, it has a very rich selection. In recent years, MSI has further expanded its product line, offering products such as radiators, monitors, consoles, and cases. In addition, MSI now also provides power, but the reputation is much smaller in comparison.


Recently, MSI launched a power supply called MPG A1000G, which is its first product with a rated power of 1000W, surpassing the MPG A850GF. The previous apparently such a design was aimed at high-performance PC enthusiasts and avid gamers. The power supply has also been certified by 80 PLUS Gold, with a conversion efficiency of more than 90%, and can withstand high temperatures of 105 degrees. It is equipped with all Japanese capacitors and has the latest protection functions such as OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP, and UVP.

The MPG A1000G power supply is next to the switch, and a fan stop button is specially designed to support the start and stop of the fan under low load. When the load of the MPG A1000G power supply is lower than 40%, the fan will stop to reduce noise.

The overall size of MPG A1000G is 150mm x 150mm x 86mm, it adopts full modularity and single 12V output (up to 83.3A). It is equipped with five sets of CPU and PCIe external power supply outputs, as well as four sets of SATA and D-type power supply outputs. This power supply provides a 24Pin motherboard power supply interface, two 4+4pin CPU power supply interfaces, twelve SATA power supply interfaces, seven 6+2pin PCIe power supply interfaces, four D-type power supply ports, and one FDD power supply port are all flat wires, which are convenient for users to manage cables.
