MediaTek Dimensity 9300 specifications leaked

Yesterday, a Weibo user 数码闲聊站 some specifications of the Dimensity 9300, disclosing that its performance in the Antutu V10 test slightly surpasses that of the third-generation Snapdragon 8 platform. Although MediaTek intends to launch the Dimensity 9300 in the coming weeks, this SoC has yet to reveal its benchmark scores. Speculation abounds that the reluctance to disclose these scores may be linked to thermal issues with the Dimensity 9300, but MediaTek categorically refutes such claims.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 features an octa-core configuration, employing a 1* Cortex-X4 + 3* Cortex-X4 + 4* Cortex-A720 architecture. The primary Cortex-X4 operates at a frequency of 3.25GHz, while, as per NOTEBOOKCHECK, the other Cortex-X4 cores clock in at approximately 3.0GHz and the Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz. However, these frequency settings are not set in stone; MediaTek may recalibrate them based on the performance of the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform.

Regarding its GPU, this SoC incorporates Arm’s Immortalis-G720 GPU architecture, boasting the DVS (Delayed Vertex Shading) feature. This can reduce the bandwidth demands during graphical rendering on mobile devices like phones and tablets, thereby diminishing power consumption and enhancing gaming performance. Arm officially asserts that the Immortalis-G720 offers a theoretical 15% performance uptick compared to its predecessor and overall outperforms its rivals by 20%.

In terms of fabrication, the Dimensity 9300 adopts TSMC’s N4P process based on the 5nm node. Official statements from TSMC suggest that, in comparison to the earlier N5 process, N4P offers an 11% performance boost, a 22% enhancement in energy efficiency, and a 6% increase in transistor density.

The Dimensity 9300 is anticipated to make its official debut in November, with rumors suggesting it will premiere in the vivo X100 series.
