KB4505903 Update for Windows 10 v1903 causes Bluetooth speakers to fail

Microsoft published a support document saying that if users install Kb4505903 update on Windows 10 v1903, it may cause the Bluetooth speaker to be abnormal. The Bluetooth speaker refers to the speaker connected via Bluetooth. Microsoft explained that there was a potential compatibility issue due to an error in the Kb4505903 update, which caused the following problems when some devices used the Bluetooth speaker.

After you install update 4505903 on Windows 10, version 1903 on a computer that has an internal speaker installed, you experience one of the following issues:

  • A Bluetooth speaker can’t connect to the computer.
  • A Bluetooth speaker can connect to the computer. However, the speaker output sounds noisy (bad quality).
  • A Bluetooth speaker can connect to the computer. However, the sound is generated by the internal speaker instead of the Bluetooth device.

This update is not easy to uninstall directly, so Microsoft’s recommended solution is to use Windows 10 automatic repair technology to solve the problem.

Affected users can open an administrator command prompt and use the sfc /scannow command to scan, and the system can fix the problem.
