June 2023 Steam Hardware Survey: Windows 11 accounted for a new high, GTX 1650 is still the first

Recently, Valve disseminated the results of its Steam hardware survey for June 2023. Broadly, the June results do not exhibit significant variations compared to May. Windows 11, in the realm of operating systems, carved out a new zenith, claiming a 35.75% share, persistently narrowing its gap with Windows 10. The 1920 x 1080 resolution’s share dwindled by 2.33%, and still dominating the graphic cards’ segment was the GeForce GTX 1650.

The survey report reveals that the 64-bit Windows 10, commanding a 59.43% stake, continues to reign supreme among operating systems. Nevertheless, it has undergone a 1.08% contraction in the preceding month. Meanwhile, the share of Windows 11 has surged, expanding by 1.76 percentage points to reach a record 35.75%.

In the sphere of graphic card stakes, the GeForce GTX 1650 retains its leading position, although its share has receded by 0.35 percentage points to 5.50% compared to the last month. The GeForce RTX 3060, which occupied third place in the previous month’s ranking, witnessed a 0.13% slide to 4.60% in its June stake. However, it has managed to overtake the GeForce GTX 1060, which suffered a steeper drop, thus securing second place in the rankings. The third-ranked GeForce GTX 1060 holds a 4.45% share, a decrease by 0.34 percentage points. The fourth and fifth places are occupied by the GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile version and the GeForce RTX 2060, holding stakes of 4.14% and 4.04%, respectively.

In the June statistics, Intel continued to maintain its leading edge over AMD in the processors segment, with its stake increasing by 0.25% to 67.38%. AMD processor’s share dwindled to 32.62%. Six-core processors remain dominant, amassing a 32.43% stake. Most users operating Intel CPUs report frequencies between 2.3GHz and 2.69GHz. Conversely, the majority of AMD users report an average frequency range between 3.3GHz and 3.69GHz.
