iPhone SE 2022 benchmarks beat the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Since the original mold is still used, and the 4.7-inch screen and Touch ID are still used, the iPhone SE 2022 does not seem to have many surprises. Of course, this does not mean that the 2022 iPhone SE is not competitive. At a relatively low price, it provides stronger performance and battery life, enough to make some purchasers excited.

For the first time last year, Apple provided different numbers of GPU cores in the same SoC used in the iPhone. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini have SoCs with 4-core GPUs, and the higher-end iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have 5-core GPUs. Among them, the 4-core and 5-core GPUs have 15% and 55% performance improvements respectively compared to the A14 Bionic GPU. The A15 Bionic on the 2022 iPhone SE is the same as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, both with a 4-core GPU.

In the Geekbench benchmark database, the iPhone SE 2022 has a single-core benchmark score of 1695 and a multi-core benchmark score of 4021, which is better than the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (single 1232/multi 3433). The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the current flagship product in Android phones, and the 2022 iPhone SE is the lowest-end model in Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup.

Although Apple did not disclose the specific memory capacity of the 2022 iPhone SE at the press conference, however, macrumors reports that the memory of the 2022 iPhone SE has been upgraded from 3GB of the previous generation to 4GB, which is the same as the higher-positioned iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, which is one of the reasons why Apple has slightly raised the price. However, the price of the 2022 iPhone SE is still cheaper than the iPhone 11 with the same memory capacity, but iPhone 11 is equipped with the A13 Bionic, and the performance will be worse.
