Intel is aware of issues with Starfield Game on its Arc graphics

Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, “Starfield” is set to debut on the Xbox Series S/X and PC platforms on September 6, 2023. This title is among the most eagerly anticipated games of the year, with its novel interstellar theme capturing a vast array of attention. Yet, those who have acquired the premium and collector’s editions, have the privilege of immersing themselves in the game today.

However, according to TechPowerup, this early access doesn’t necessarily guarantee a smooth experience. For instance, players utilizing Intel’s integrated graphics have encountered a myriad of issues ranging from texture glitches, and unexplained excessive memory consumption, to game crashes. Typically, after roughly thirty minutes of gameplay, complications arise, although the specific nature of these issues varies per individual. Some gamers have expressed that, even overlooking minor glitches, sustained gameplay is nearly impossible due to eventual blackouts, crashes, or sudden exits.

Intel has officially acknowledged the myriad issues encountered when their integrated graphics run “Starfield”, promising the release of an updated driver next week to enhance the gaming experience.

One can imagine the palpable discontent among those with Intel’s integrated graphics. Despite the opportunity for early access, they must endure a wait until several days post-launch for resolutions to basic functionality issues. In contrast, both Nvidia and AMD have already unveiled drivers optimized for “Starfield”. Notably, Nvidia released their corresponding drivers as early as August 22nd.
