Starfield has gone into production

Recently, Bethesda Game Studios announced thrilling news via their official Twitter: the eagerly-anticipated epic, Starfield has gone into production. Those who have pre-ordered the digital version for Xbox Series X|S can preload the game on August 17th, while Steam users will have to wait until August 30th.

Starfield is slated for official release on September 6th. As a flagship title for Xbox, Starfield will also debut on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service on launch day.

While the game supports preloading, the question of whether Starfield will have a day-one patch remains, a query Bethesda Game Studios has yet to address. After all, day-one patches have become commonplace for contemporary AAA titles.

Regarding performance metrics, Starfield will maintain a consistent frame rate of 30fps on both Xbox consoles. The Xbox Series X will support a resolution of up to 4K, while the Series S will peak at 2K. Hence, for those yearning for a more dynamic frame rate and superior graphics, the PC emerges as the platform of choice. The recommended PC specifications for “Stellar Skies” include a Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i5-10600K processor, an RX 6800 XT or RTX 2080 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and an SSD with at least 125GB of available space.

Worth noting, back in June, AMD proclaimed their exclusive partnership with Bethesda for the PC edition of Starfield. The game will be optimized for AMD’s product line and will support FSR 2. In certain regions, purchasing AMD products also bestows an activation code for Starfield.
