How to disable the side panel in Google Chrome

The latest Google Chrome version has a side panel enabled by default, which displays bookmarks and reading lists. For some users, this new feature might be useful, but for those who don’t like it, it’s a bit annoying that the side panel button hasn’t been removed.

At present, users can directly disable the side panel in Chrome://flags. After disabling, the side panel button next to the avatar in the upper right corner will disappear.
