Google Cloud Platform announces new data center in Delhi/Doha/Melbourne/Toronto

Google Cloud Platform is currently increasing its investment in global infrastructure. The Google cloud computing platform in Seoul, South Korea, has just opened its data center.

Now Google announced that it will increase the availability of new data centers in more regions. These areas are Delhi (India), Doha (Qatar), Melbourne (Australia), and Toronto (Canada). These areas already have Google data centers.

The new data center can provide customers with more choices and provide low-latency access for peripheral users, but the key purpose is to provide disaster recovery.

Under normal circumstances, cloud data will be stored in the user area and the data will be automatically backed up to other areas, which can be quickly restored when a certain area fails.

This can prevent data center failures caused by various problems from affecting the normal operation of cloud services. Although the investment is huge, it is also a very necessary investment.

In addition, the laws of some countries or regions require data to be stored locally, so a single data center cannot back up data to other nodes as a backup.

However, Google has not revealed when these new data centers will be officially opened.
