CHERRY launches the CHERRY MX2A switch and the CHERRY XTRFY K5V2 keyboard

CHERRY has officially unveiled the CHERRY MX2A switch and the CHERRY XTRFY K5V2 keyboard. The company heralds the MX2A as the finest full-sized MX switch to date, meticulously crafted for aficionados, gamers, and professionals alike. This switch will debut in the CHERRY XTRFY K5V2, ensuring a harmonious integration.

According to CHERRY, the MX2A switch is a refined version of the MX, receiving targeted and precise enhancements, offering users a more responsive and satisfying typing experience. The MX2A series encompasses a complete range of full-sized models such as the MX Red, MX Brown, MX Black, MX Speed Silver, MX Silent Red, and their respective RGB variants, guaranteeing users will discover a switch tailored to their preference.

CHERRY notes that the MX2A incorporates Hyperglide technology, boasting a lifespan of 100 million actuations. Pre-applied with premium lubricants, it ensures a smoother keypress. The automated, high-precision circular lubrication process also minimizes spring noise, facilitating a tranquil and delightful typing experience. Additionally, the MX2A has adopted an innovative spring design; transitioning from cylindrical to barrel-shaped, it achieves an almost contactless linear motion, reducing spring distortion and friction.

Accompanying the MX2A switch is the CHERRY XTRFY K5V2 keyboard, a 65% custom layout based on the K5, equipped with the latest MX2A switches. Users have the flexibility to modify the keyboard’s switches, stabilizers, keycaps, cables, frames, and even the logo plate, heightening its adaptability and playability.

The CHERRY MX2A switch is now open for B2B orders and will be available separately soon. Meanwhile, the CHERRY XTRFY K5V2 is anticipated to launch later this year.
