Assassin’s Creed Mirage is available on iPhone 15 Pro

During the pre-dawn Apple event on September 13th, alongside unveiling the entire iPhone 15 series, Apple also delighted gaming aficionados with a revelation: “Resident Evil 4 Remake”, “Resident Evil 8”, and “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” are slated to debut on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max next year.

Given that the aforementioned titles are all AAA masterpieces originating from console and PC platforms, they demand substantial graphical computational prowess. For instance, the recently released “Resident Evil 4 Remake” on PC necessitates users to equip themselves with a graphics card no less superior than the GTX 1050 Ti. Consequently, within the iOS domain, these gaming marvels can solely be executed on devices armed with the A17 Pro chip, specifically the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Apple has elucidated that the A17 Pro is fabricated using TSMC’s 3nm process, boasting a staggering 19 billion transistors – an increment of approximately 3 billion when juxtaposed with its predecessor, the A16. Architecturally, the A17 Pro embraces the quintessential configuration of 2 high-performance cores paired with 4 energy-efficient cores. Its single-threaded performance has witnessed a 10% enhancement over its antecedent. The GPU segment, on the other hand, introduces an avant-garde architecture, augmenting 6 additional cores. It incorporates ProRes, Pro Display engine, and the AV1 decoder engine. Peak performance has surged by 20%, endorsing hardware-based ray tracing and novel mesh shading capabilities.

In truth, since WWDC 2022, Apple has been fervently amplifying the gaming ecosystem of its proprietary products. On the Mac platform, titles like “Resident Evil 8”, “No Man’s Sky”, and “Death Stranding” have sequentially made their debut. Moreover, to facilitate game developers in their porting endeavors and to expand the Mac’s gaming repertoire, Apple ceremoniously launched the Game Porting Toolkit earlier this year, enabling certain AAA titles to be seamlessly executed on the Mac platform.
