ASRock releases Z690 Taichi Razer Edition

After ASRock launched a series of H670/B660/H610 motherboards at CES 2022, it released a new high-end motherboard called Z690 Taichi Razer Edition. This is the third time ASRock and Razer have joined forces since the B550 Taichi Razer Edition and X570 Taichi Razer Edition in 2020. It is also the first product in the series based on the Intel platform.
The Z690 Taichi Razer Edition is very similar to the previously released Z690 Taichi in all aspects. The difference lies in the introduction of Razer-style design, the appearance of the motherboard’s cooling system has been transformed, and it has been integrated into the Razer Chroma ecological series. ASRock stated that the Z690 Taichi Razer Edition is a brand new top-level motherboard for gamers. With unparalleled performance and irresistible RGB lighting effects, it can bring players an immersive gaming experience.

Z690 Taichi Razer Edition is equipped with a 20-phase Dr.MOS power supply, supports the latest SPS (Smart Power Stage) technology, an eight-layer PCB board, and supports DDR5-6400+, XMP 3.0, and four memory slots up to 128GB of memory, equipped with two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot, providing six SATA3 ports, three M.2 (two PCIe 4.0 x4 and one PCIe 3.0 x2/SATA3) slots, 2.5Gb Killer E3100 network card, provides Wi-Fi 6E (Killer AX1690 802.11ax network card) and Bluetooth connectivity and supports DoubleShot Pro X3.
This motherboard is based on Realtek’s ALC1220 audio solution, supports 7.1 channels, and is also equipped with ESS Sabre ES9218 DAC, gold-plated audio jack, and S/PDIF optical output. The motherboard also provides two rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 4/USB4 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and one HDMI 2.1 port. In addition, there are two USB 2.0, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 3.1 Gen 1, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C expansion interface that can be used on the front panel.
