AMD’s Next-Gen Zen 5 CPU With 8 Cores & 16 Threads Spotted

Previous reports have indicated that AMD intends to launch the innovative Zen 5 architecture in 2024, thus debuting the Ryzen 8000 series of CPUs. Speculation suggests that products based on the Zen 5 architecture may be unveiled in the first half of 2024, potentially even within the initial quarter.

According to Wccftech, Zen 5 architecture CPUs, featuring eight cores and sixteen threads, have now been identified in the Einstein@Home and LHC@home databases. This implies that AMD has initiated laboratory tests on these chips, and the first batch of engineering samples is likely underway.

Given that Zen 4 architecture CPUs and Threadripper series products were also discovered in a similar fashion, there is a considerable degree of credibility to this information. This may indeed be the first confirmation of AMD running Zen 5 architecture chips in its laboratory.

This AMD chip is listed as “100-000001290-11_N [Family 26 Model 64 Stepping 0].” The Family 24 denomination has previously been assigned to Zen 3 and Zen 4 architecture chips, and rumors suggest that Family 25 is also part of the Zen 5 architecture. With identical entries, these chips likely belong to the same family.

In addition to the Zen 5 architecture chips, two unreleased GPUs have also been discovered. One is a Radeon RX 7900 GRE, equipped with 16GB of video memory. The other is a Radeon RX series chip with 12GB of video memory, likely an impending graphics card that is presumed to be part of the Radeon RX 7700 or RX 7800 series of products.
