Tekken 8 will be released on January 26 next year

Last year at Sony’s State of Play event, Bandai Namco unveiled their latest combat game, “Tekken 8”, premiering a riveting gameplay teaser of Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama set against a volcanic backdrop. This year, at the 2023 Cologne International Game Show, Bandai Namco launched a new trailer for “Tekken 8”, cementing its release date.

Earlier, the Microsoft Store inadvertently revealed the game’s launch date, and rather than obscuring the fact, Bandai Namco swiftly confirmed it post the inauguration of the Cologne Game Show. “Tekken 8” is slated for release on January 26, 2024, gracing platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X/S, featuring an ensemble of 32 playable characters at its premiere.

Touted as one of the most aggressive combat games to date, Bandai Namco envisions this iteration as a pinnacle in combat gaming. They underscored myriad novel changes, including innovative adaptive gameplay that allows instantaneous switching, empowering players to embellish their chosen character’s uniqueness while mastering fundamental skills. The recent trailer showcased an intriguing new story mode in “Tekken 8”, christened “Arcade Quest”, bearing a resemblance to the “World Tour” mode in “Street Fighter 6”.

Earlier, “Tekken 8” secured a rating from the Korean rating board, stamped as “15+”, attributed to its “moderate violence and sustained combat” elements.
