TGP max of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop is 175W

Nvidia will update its mobile platform’s Ampere architecture GPU product line early next year to cope with Intel’s upcoming Intel Arc Alchemist graphics card, and AMD may launch the Radeon RX 6000S series to consolidate graphics performance advantages on mobile platforms.

According to VideoCardz, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop will be equipped with 16 Gbps video memory, which is the first GPU with this specification on all mobile platforms, which is higher than the 14 Gbps common to existing GeForce RTX 30 series mobile GPUs. At the same time, the maximum TGP of the new flagship GPU will be increased to 175W, which is 10W higher than the GeForce RTX 3080 mobile version. The maximum TGP is based on the configurable graphics card power consumption plus NVIDIA Dynamic Boost 2.0 technology, switching power between CPU and GPU. Although it seems that the increase is not large, it means that notebook manufacturers have more room for adjustment to further increase the performance of the GPU.

It is still unclear how many stream processors will be configured for the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop, and there are also questions about the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop has a maximum TGP of 150W and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Nvidia should reveal both GPUs at CES 2022 at the same time. In the next few days, many notebook computer manufacturers will release products with new graphics cards.
