NVIDIA and ROG team up to launch ROG Swift 500Hz gaming monitor

NVIDIA and ROG jointly launched the world’s first 24-inch gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 500Hz, ROG Swift 500Hz, at Computex 2022. This refresh rate is currently the world’s fastest monitor using a TN panel and will have a built-in NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer. It is currently unknown when it will be available.

Until the release of this monitor, the fastest refresh rate of e-sports monitors was 360Hz, and this time 500Hz directly increased by as much as 140Hz. Back to the ROG Swift 500Hz itself, it has a resolution of 1080P and uses an E-TN panel developed by AUO. In addition to the 500Hz refresh rate, this panel is also equipped with a technology called Adaptive Mini LED according to the official introduction. I don’t know whether this Adaptive Mini LED refers to Mini LED.

You should also know that the 360Hz refresh rate display launched last year uses a panel called Fast IPS to increase the rotation speed of the liquid crystal molecules to achieve a higher refresh rate. The 500Hz this time is similar. The E-TN (e-sports TN) panel used can increase the rotation speed of the liquid crystal molecules by more than 60%, thus achieving a 500Hz refresh rate.

In addition, the NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer on the ROG Swift 500Hz also allows players to measure system latency by themselves, letting players know how high the latency is and how to target hardware replacement to reduce latency.
At present, neither NVIDIA nor ROG has announced the launch time or price of this monitor.
