New Pentium Gold G7400 and Celeron G6900 processors appear

Intel’s current Pentium and Celeron processors are still based on the 10th generation Core Comet Lake architecture. The 11th generation Core Rocket Lake has not launched Core i3 and below products. By the 12th generation of Alder Lake, since the platform has been updated to LGA 1700, it is impossible to install the old Skylake architecture on the new motherboard, so the new Pentium and Celeron processors should be in preparation.

Twitter user @momomo_us discovered that a Canadian retailer has listed two new processors, the Pentium Gold G7400 and Celeron G6900. Their boxed number starts with “BX80715”, which is the same as the 12th-generation Core processors currently on the market, so it should be the latest Alder Lake architecture, while Rocket Lake processors start with “BX80708” and Comet Lake is “BX80701.

From the screenshot, the frequency of Pentium Gold G7400 is 3.7GHz, while the L3 cache is 6MB, the frequency of Celeron G6900 is 3.4GHz, and the L3 cache is 4MB. The Pentium Gold processor is a dual-core four-thread, and the Celeron processor is a dual-core dual-thread. They may be listed together with other 12-generation non-K series processors early next year.
