MSI Launches MAG H670 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 Motherboard

During CES 2022, Intel launched a series of 12th-generation Core series processors for the mid-to-low-end market, as well as H670, B660, and H610 chipsets. Compared with the mainstream-oriented B660 and the low-end H610 chipset, the positioning of the H670 chipset is relatively vague, and manufacturers have fewer motherboard models based on the H670 chipset.
Recently, MSI announced the launch of the MAG H670 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4, which is similar to the previous MAG B660 Tomahawk series, but MAG H670 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4r motherboard’s PCIe x16 slot supports PCIe 5.0 and provides more interfaces. Another important difference between the H670 and B660 is the difference in the chipset to CPU throughput. The H670 is DMI Gen 4.0 x8 and the B660 is DMI Gen 4.0 x4.

MAG H670 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 provides a 2.5Gbps network port (Intel i225-V) and WiFi 6+Bluetooth 5.2 module (Intel AX200), and the sound card is Realtek ALC897. MSI has not disclosed the time to market and pricing of this motherboard.
