MSI Launches MAG GL Series Power Supplies

MSI has announced the release of its new MAG GL series, further refining its line of power supply units (PSUs). This series employs a modular design and introduces three products: the MAG A850GL PCIE5, MAG A750GL PCIE5, and the MAG A650GL.

The MPG A750G power supply unit, with overall dimensions of 150 x 140 x 86 mm, boasts a compact design that easily integrates into the majority of Micro-ATX cases. Utilizing a DC-DC structure, it has received an 80PLUS Gold certification and supports both the ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 standards. It is furnished with various circuit protection mechanisms, including overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), short circuit protection (SCP), undervoltage protection (UVP), over power protection (OPP), and over temperature protection (OTP), all ensuring the safe operation of hardware.

The new PSU provides a native 12VHPWR port capable of supporting a 600W power output, fully compatible with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards. This reduces the need for adapters and optimizes assembly space. The connectors employ a patented black-and-yellow dual-color design by MSI, enhancing identification during assembly. With numerous instances of high-end graphics card 12VHPWR ports getting burnt out recently, MSI aims to facilitate better judgment by users on the correct insertion of connectors, through a change in connector color (Only the MAG A850GL PCIE5 and MAG A750GL PCIE5 come equipped with a 12VHPWR connector.)

Cable management is often the most cumbersome part of a build. To address this, MSI provides flat cables, making it simpler for users to manage cables, whilst freeing up additional space inside the system. This allows for unimpeded airflow and enhances the cooling efficiency within the case.
