Microsoft pushes the Windows 10 KB4589212 Intel Microcode update

Microsoft has again pushed the KB4589212 update to some Windows 10 devices a few days ago. This update is actually a microcode update that has been pushed many times.

Although this microcode update is designed for Intel processors, it will also be displayed on AMD devices and users cannot ignore installing this update.

This type of microcode update is mainly used to reinforce the processor, including but not limited to Intel processors, and it is mainly some firmware of the processor that needs to be reinforced.

Spectre variant

Previously, Microsoft pushed this update to Windows 10 20H1/20H2. Although it is not a security update in the Microsoft sense, the patch will still be installed compulsorily, so don’t be surprised when you see it and follow the system prompts to install it.

There is nothing new in the specific update content. Microsoft mainly synchronizes Intel updates to solve the vulnerabilities in the Spectre and Meltdown series in Intel processors.
