Microsoft offers Chromium Microsoft Edge offline installation packages

Chromium Microsoft Edge is still being tested for the normal user, but Microsoft is also preparing to begin offering more customized services to the enterprise. For example, earlier Microsoft has provided Microsoft Edge’s Group Policy template for enterprises to set up some functions of the browser in batches.

Now Microsoft is offering an offline installer based on MSI. With the offline installer package, enterprise IT administrators can use it to deploy browsers in batches. The MSI installation package supports custom installations using the command line with other tools, such as restricting certain features to improve the security of intranet users. Of course, since Microsoft Edge is still testing, the installation package provided is also a beta version. Currently, only the Beta channel installation package is available.

In addition, these installation packages are also tested by enterprises, so enterprises should not deploy Microsoft Edge to all employees for the time being.
