iPad Revolution: New Pro, Air, and Accessories Coming in May

During its Spring Product Launch in April 2024, Apple introduced the 13/15-inch MacBook Air, enhanced with the M3 chip. However, unlike previous years, when new products were unveiled in quick succession, this event concluded without further announcements. The eagerly awaited new versions of the iPad Pro and iPad Air will, therefore, be delayed for some time.

According to Wccftech, Apple plans to launch the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models, along with the latest Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, in the second week of May this year. This could represent one of the most significant single-day updates to Apple’s tablet range. It appears that Apple is placing considerable emphasis on this release, allocating ample time for meticulous preparation.

The spotlight of the launch is expected to be on the OLED version of the iPad Pro, available in both 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. These models will feature the M3 processor, fabricated with a 3nm process technology, enhancing display quality with deeper blacks and higher color accuracy. They will utilize a hybrid OLED panel that combines both rigid and flexible OLED technologies, differing from the single-stack structure common in most smartphones today. This innovation not only doubles the brightness but also quadruples the lifespan of the display.

The new iPad Air seems to be receiving a modest upgrade with the M2 chip, with no significant changes in other aspects. Rumors suggest that both the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models will reposition the front camera and Face ID to the longer edge, offering a more laptop-like experience during video calls and when using a keyboard. This adjustment is aimed at making the devices more versatile across various scenarios.

Furthermore, the updated Magic Keyboard is rumored to feature an aluminum casing and a layout similar to that of a Mac. Details regarding the new Apple Pencil remain unclear at this moment.
