iFixit teardown the Apple Studio Display

Although Apple launched the Pro Display XDR display in 2019, the starting price is obviously not acceptable to the average video-up master and photographer. It wasn’t until this spring that Apple launch the Studio Display, with a resolution of 5K for the content creation market. It has built-in Apple’s own chips, which can be used perfectly with other devices in the ecosystem. It will be the best display for Mac Studio or MacBook Pro users.

iFixit is currently working on a teardown of Studio Display. However, after they opened the Studio Display, they were shocked by the interior of Apple’s high-quality display, and couldn’t wait to share a photo first.

Although iFixit has not analyzed and explained the information of each part of Studio Display, it is not difficult to see that the internal structure of Studio Display is very similar to an iMac. On the right side of the motherboard, there is a complete A13 bionic platform, as well as interfaces and various management chips. As well as interfaces and various management chips, there is a built-in power adapter on the left, and considering the heat generation of the 5K panel, there are also two built-in active cooling fans. The speaker part occupies a large area on the left and right sides of the fuselage.
