Google will end support for the Pixel 2/2 XL in December 2020
Google Pixel 2/2 XL has been launched for 3 years. According to Google’s support plan, the company only provides 3 years of support for the device.
This means that the Google Pixel series has actually now ended support, according to Google’s own timetable, the company said it does not guarantee to continue to provide updates after October.
However, Android Authority revealed that in the next December, Google will release security updates for it, mainly repairing various important bug fixes to block vulnerabilities.
After the end of the life cycle of this series of devices will no longer provide any function and security updates, of course, some third-party firmware developers may also support it.
Compared to the first generation, the second-generation Pixel devices are lucky, because Google only provided 1 year of functional support and 1 year of security support, and then expanded to 3 years.
